Hello, thanks for your time. I noticed u declined my article, I don’t understand my issue… May you be assistance to help? SnowstormThoughts (talk) 07:31, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi SnowstormThoughts, all new articles on Wikipedia have to show the subject is notable (See WP:N) which in most cases requires significant coverage (WP:SIGCOV) in multiple independent (WP:INDY) reliable sources (WP:RS). After removing unacceptable sources (user-generated content) your only source is for a rottentomatoes.com score for the show and nothing at all about the subject. Non-free rationale for File:GettinItOn.jpeg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:GettinItOn.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Regarding album covers

Hey! I figured it would be better to explain what the menacing warnings above actually mean. It's great that you decided to improve image quality of album covers. I'm doing that myself from time to time. I've replaced dozens of awful looking covers with better versions, sometimes I upload missing covers. However, you need to remember one thing: Wikipedia is very strict about copyright. English Wikipedia is less strict and allows non-free images (including copyrighted album covers), as long as the use is within the criteria. The main album cover usually fits the criteria, but there are a few important things to consider. The first is #3 "Minimal usage", which in this case translates to the maximum size of 0.1 megapixels or 300×300 resolution. You can't upload a large image (or you can, but you need to put {{Non-free reduce}} on the image page so the bot reduces the image). The second thing is the criteria #10, which says that the image page should contain information about the image, including why a non-free image should be used. Templates {{Non-free use rationale album cover}} and {{Non-free album cover}} can be used to simplify this process. Also, if there is an image in the article already, you don't need to upload a new one. You can go to the old image's page, scroll down and click on "Upload a new version of this file". I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, let me know, I'll do my best to answer them. AstonishingTunesAdmirer 連絡 22:35, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
