"Over Each Other" is a song by American rock band Linkin Park. It was released as the third single from their eighth studio album, From Zero (2024), on October 24, 2024. It is the first song in the band's discography to feature vocals performed entirely by Emily Armstrong, and was co-written by all members of the band along with Jon Green and Matias Mora.
Composition
"Over Each Other" has been described as a pop rock song.[1][2] It is the first song in the band's discography to feature vocals performed entirely by Emily Armstrong, which Billboard described as "gave a glimpse of how Linkin Park’s next iteration could function with a fresh voice at the forefront."[2] Gregory Adams of Revolver said that the song "plays out as a vocal showcase for Linkin’s new singer, Emily Armstrong. While there might be a few backups in the mix, Armstrong’s raspy vibrato gets pushed to the forefront above some distorted but melancholy guitar work."[3]
Release
"Over Each Other" serves as the third single from Linkin Park's eighth studio album, From Zero (2024), following "The Emptiness Machine" and "Heavy Is the Crown". The song received its world premiere on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders on October 24, 2024.[4] A music video, released on the same day, was directed by Joe Hahn and filmed in Seoul in September 2024, just days after the group's concert in the same city. It stars Armstrong and actress Kong Seong-Ha as two best friends who, after an argument, go for a drive and soon end up in an accident.[5]
