Thanks for editing Wikipedia. However, please be constructive in your edits. The edits you are currently making are counted as vandalism, and can very well lead to you being blocked --Maurice45 (talk) 15:22, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Galchaura.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. J Milburn (talk) 12:51, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in List of India Test cricketers, makes articles harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Vyom25 (talk) 07:35, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Besharam (2013 film)

[edit]

Hello Unclewalker,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Besharam (2013 film) for deletion, because it seems to be an promotion, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Wakowako (talk) 08:18, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article The Adventures of Unemployed Man has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No attempt to assert notability as per WP:GNG

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Katiyabaaz, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.powerless-film.com/about.php.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) MadmanBot (talk) 07:36, 30 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Katiyabaaz, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

  • It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to North East Delhi riots, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. ⋙–DBigXray 13:10, 26 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at North East Delhi riots shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. ⋙–DBigXray 13:30, 26 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Doga

[edit]

Hi - if you look in the history of Doga (comics), you'll see that there was already an article at that title. Someone felt that the subject wasn't independently notable, and redirected it, but as far as I can see that was not discussed so you could revert that redirection and reinstate the article to work on it. What we don't need is a second article at an inappropriate title (there should not be a space before the word 'comics' in the parentheses). Best Girth Summit (blether) 17:22, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi - the previous page Doga (comics) only redirects you the page of Raj Comics, so that's why the new page with details is created.

When you click on the link, you will be redirected to Raj Comics. However, you should see a link at the top of the page telling you that you have been redirected. If you click on that, it will take you to the redirect page itself. Look at the history there. Best Girth Summit (blether) 18:06, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That's why the page is created to avoid redirection to Raj Comics page but getting a separate page for the character. This character needs a page and there are enough external links to support the article.

So go to the redirect page, and replace the redirect with the text you want to see there. Or just revert the edit that redirected it. What we don't need is a new article at an inappropriate title - there is already an article, with a long history, which is currently a redirect. Edit that. Girth Summit (blether) 19:49, 13 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please help me in that case. You are expert.

I'm not going to revert it myself - I haven't read the sources, or satisfied myself that the subject is indeed notable. You may do so if you wish however. Click on this link: Doga (comics). That will take you to the redirect page itself (rather than redirecting you to the target page). Click on the 'History' tab. Look at the version of the page prior to the redirection. You can revert to that version, and start editing it, adding your sources and so on. Girth Summit (blether) 08:11, 14 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
