Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Aaliyah (album), disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 17:57, 4 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Compositions (Anita Baker album), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 00:49, 17 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to change genres without discussion or sources, as you did at The Voice Within, you may be blocked from editing. Per Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources, we only use AllMusic prose reviews, not genre tabs. Binksternet (talk) 06:22, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at MTV Unplugged No. 2.0, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Dan56 (talk) 00:09, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You were warned about those specific changes after your revision to Aaliyah (album) last month, yet your edit history shows you've continued making the same changes, which are not fixes. Template:Infobox album#Genre clearly states to delineate genres using commas. Dan56 (talk) 00:25, 1 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Album notability

[edit]

Hi,

I noticed you created some articles for a few albums. Thanks for adding to Wikipedia. Unfortunately, none of them look to make any claim to notability. Please see the criteria for articles about albums here: WP:NALBUM. In brief, unless if wins a major award or has major chart success, there must be significant coverage in multiple reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject. Otherwise, they'll have to be redirected to the artist page. To be specific, I'm referring to Transient (album), Free (Lisa Shaw album), and Cherry (Lisa Shaw album). — Rhododendrites talk \\ 15:01, 9 November 2015 (UTC) [reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. 123.136.106.97 (talk) 04:51, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Adding genres and categories to pages when not sourced in prose

[edit]

Stop doing this. This is against WP:Verifiability and is WP:OR. You are adding your own opinion of songs' genres and then adding categories for them, especially for quiet storm, when it's not even mentioned in the prose of the article at all. Stop, or you will probably end up being reverted en masse by an editor. I suggest you go back and remove them yourself. Ss112 02:36, 28 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Category:New jack swing songs from Janet Jackson articles the genre is mentioned on

[edit]

Why have you done this? If you don't explain, I'm going to revert you on the other articles you've done it on because you should be explaining any changes to categories as it is, yet you aren't. Ss112 07:33, 11 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Because the majority of her songs, particularly the older ones, are listed as new jack swing in genre and therefore should be moved to the "Janet Jackson" subcategory page.Rmcrae2015 (talk) 07:52, 11 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Now? (No Doubt song)

[edit]

I don't know for sure but please be more cautious before undoing edits on articles such as Happy Now? (No Doubt song). The previous genres were unsourced and I expanded the article in addition to citing a correct genre. Thanks, Carbrera (talk) 04:28, 10 August 2018 (UTC).[reply]

Delirium (Santessa album) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Delirium (Santessa album), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 02:23, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Delirium (Santessa album), a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:29, 21 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Rmcrae2015. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Delirium".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Bkissin (talk) 18:34, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Aya albums requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read!
