In this course, we will first study the variety of galaxy types in the observable universe and the physics that govern their measurable properties. Then, we will consider the universe as a whole by examining its geometry, history, and fate. Students will work in pairs / small groups to update pages surrounding these topics (e.g. galaxy morphologies, active galactic nuclei, the formation of structure, cosmological distances)
