Nampa High School was the only high school in Nampa until 1997, when Skyview High School was opened. In 2006 Columbia High School was also opened.

Nampa High has a campus that relates to a college campus, with separate buildings. It is currently a closed campus. It sits on the corner of 12 Ave. and Lake Lowell Ave. It is the oldest high school in Nampa. Walking around campus you can see different years carved into the sidewalks. Some even date back to 1963.

The Nampa High Marching Band "Marching Dawgs" has won the District III Marching Band Competition for four years. They went to Seattle to march in the Puget Sound competition and came in fourth. They also marched at halftime for the Seattle Seahawks of the NFL.

Nampa High is known for its outstanding students & uncompariable school spirit. Assemblies usually consist of a "spirit competition". Each grade competes against each other to see who's the loudest. Whoever wins, gets the 'bulldawg collar'.
