A grappling grip or wrestling grip is a grip used to lock one's hands together to secure a grappling position. This entails using the hands to either grip each other, or some other part of the arm. Grappling grips are integral to properly securing many holds and positions, such as clinches, submissions, and pins.

S-Grip

The S-Grip is the most "spacious" grappling grip, that is, it leaves the most space between the user's arms. It is a strong grip with a fair range of motion used in positions where the forearms point directly towards each other, or the object being held is too large for a less spacious grip.
