Frank H. L. Paton (1870 – ) was a Presbyterian minister in Victoria, Australia.

History

Paton was born in Aniwa, New Hebrides, to Rev. Dr. John Gilbert Paton, one of the first missionaries to the New Hebrides. He gained his MA degree in Glasgow and Melbourne, and was ordained in Melbourne in November 1895, and worked as a missionary in West Tanna, New Hebrides from 1896 to 1902, when he was appointed the Presbyterian Church's foreign mission agent.

He had charge of the Dunolly church 1904–1907, then served as Victorian foreign mission secretary in Victoria, 1908–1925. From 1925 he was stationed at Deepdene. He was moderator in 1922. The funeral will leave his residence at 9.45 a.m. to-morrow for the Burwood cemetery. Arrangements are In the hands of A. W. Padbury and Co.[1]
