Women in Red
[edit]Hi there, LowellMillGirl, and welcome to Women in Red. Thank you for Shirley Leung which I've tidied up a bit and moved to article space. For your first article, you did a pretty good job with presentation and sourcing. In line with Wikipedia preferences, you'll see I changed your "curly" quotes and apostrophes to " and ' and italicized the names of journals. For further guidance, you might find it useful to look through our essays, perhaps starting with our Ten Simple Rules. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 10:45, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, Ipigott. How thrilling that you reviewed my article so quickly! Thank you for your edits and your instructions on quotes, apostrophes, and journal names, as well as for your welcome and your generosity. LowellMillGirl (talk) 15:29, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

- I've created a biography for Georgette Ioup, who was on the list of "Women who died in 2024." As I'm still inexperienced with Wikipedia, I'd love any feedback you have. Also, I believe the next Women in Religion edit-a-thon is Dec. 9, not Dec. 2. LowellMillGirl (talk) 01:44, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
Date formats
[edit]Thanks for your work on Barbara Boxall, but you shouldn't have changed the date formats from "dmy" (3 December 2024) to "mdy" (December 3, 2024) because:
- There is a template saying {{Use dmy dates}}
- It's a UK topic, so the dmy form is used
- And if neither of the above had applied and the topic had no connection to a particular country, the format used in the first main version of the article should be retained.
"mdy" dates are not "correct", they are just American.
See MOS:DATE, particularly MOS:DATETIES andMOS:DATERET. Thanks. PamD 06:44, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your very helpful reply. I'm so glad you explained this. LowellMillGirl (talk) 15:01, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
