Bolloju Baba

Bolloju Baba was a poet and writer. He is working as a Lecturer in Kakinada. Baba wrote books with many historical themes.

Writing career[edit text]

First poem

Their father, Boloju Basavalingam, wrote plays such as Who is the playwright like Evaru doshi?, Vaarasudu, Neti vidhyaardhi, , Krishnarayabaramu etc in telugu language. Therefore, there was an atmosphere related to literature in their house. Baba started composing poems from the time he was studying inter. Many poems were printed in college magazines in his name and in the name of his friends. Later, they were sent to the press with the encouragement of shikhamani, the poet of Yanam. He was introduced to the literary world through a poem titled "Back in " published as "This Week's Poem" in the Andhra Pradesh Illustrated Weekly of November 8, 2. After that, his poems were gradually published in all the leading magazines.

Printed works

1. Yanam Vimochanodyamam − was published in 2007. In this book, Yanam contains photographs of the freedom struggle against the French rule between 1947 and 1954.
2. Akupachani thadigeetham − This is the first self-contained poetry collection published in 2008.  It received the Shilaparasetti Special Literary Award.
3. Frenchi palanalo yanam, Colonial history of yanam. It is a historical investigative book with details of events from the arrival of the French in Yanam in 1724 to their departure in 1954, education, the legal system, political imagery, businesses, the social system of the day, and the structures they made.
4. Veluthuru thera is their second volume of poetry.  Published in 2016. It was critically acclaimed and received the "Ismail Literary Award" in the name of the poet Ismail, and the "Rotamaku Port Award".
5. In 2009, they translated the book Stray Birds written by Vishwakavi Ravindranath and published as Swetcha Vihangaalu
6. The language of poetry is literary essays describing Western embellishments.  In 2018, all the essays written in the name of Kavithaswaram were brought into book form under the title "Language of Poetry". The book was launched at Rottamakurevu Khammam at the hands of Siva Reddy, Yakub and Prasen.
7. Moodokanneeti chukka is a collection of self-poetry published in 2019.
8. McKenzie Kaifiyatulu-East Godavari (2020) ISBN 978-93-5408-115-6 was published by Pallavi Sanstha. It is about local histories collected by Colin Mackenzie during 1820's
9. Pracheena pattanalu, East Godavari District (2021) ISBN 978-93-5473-695-7 the book was published by Pallavi Publishing Company. Deals with ancient cities of East Godavari district.
10. Theri gathalu - The Poetry of the Early Buddhist Nuns (2022) ISBN 978-93-92968-14-3 book was published by the Chhaya Resource Center.
11. French Indian freedom fighter Shri Dadala Rafale Ramanayya. This book with ISBN 978-93-5780-001-3 was published by The Pallavi Publishing Company deals with the freedom fighter of French Indian liberation.
