Howdy! Based on your work on Frutiger Aero I thought you might be interested in Health Goth. After creating a stub for it, I saw that there was a previously existing article that was deleted years ago for supposed notability concerns. I've added content from that article. I will likely add some more but it needs a bit of editing and link fixing- some of the cites are now dead links. There also appears to be some more recent write-ups that will be useful for expansion. I'm going to try to get it all done in the next 24 - 48 hours so it can be nominated for DYK, specifically to run on Halloween. I'm a bit overwhelmed at the moment so even the lightest help would be wonderful. All the best, Thriley (talk) 20:30, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- @Thriley: This looks interesting, I'll be happy to help how I can! Di (they-them) (talk) 20:33, 18 September 2024 (UTC)
- Wasn't sure this would be ok for DYK as it was mostly old material. Nominated another article for Halloween instead. Thriley (talk) 20:28, 10 October 2024 (UTC)

DCWC closing update
The 2024 Developing Countries WikiContest has come to a close! After a thrilling finish to the event with a slew of submissions on the final day, we have our winners. With 608 points, Thebiguglyalien (submissions) comes in third with his series of Kiribati and Botswanan submissions; BeanieFan11 (submissions) flies into second place at the last second with 771 points after a string of good articles about sportspersons; and after leading for much of contest's three months, Generalissima (submissions) finishes with a whopping 798 points to take home the Gold Belt Buckle. Congratulations to our winners!
In addition to his spot in the top three, BeanieFan11 (submissions) also wins the special awards for submitting under the most countries (44 countries) and for writing the most articles about women (15 Did you know? nominations)! Magentic Manifestations (submissions), after making 16 submissions under the Indian flag—15 of them good articles—receives the awards for most submissions for a single country and most featured or good articles promoted. For their submission of one FAC review, five FLC reviews, and 20 GAN reviews, Simongraham (submissions) wins for most article reviews.
The results of the contest have far exceeded any expectations the coordinators had for it at the beginning: among the submissions to the event were 3 FAs, 10 FLs, 88 GAs, dozens of article reviews of every kind, and more Did you know? submissions than we can count! Regardless of your level of participation, every contestant can be proud to have contributed towards a major step in countering the systemic bias on Wikipedia. Every year, millions of readers and editors around the globe use Wikipedia to educate themselves and communicate with others about parts of the world that often receive less attention than they deserve. Thank you for participating with us in the contest and contributing to this effort. The DCWC will return next year and we look forward to seeing you contribute again! However, before that...
We need your feedback! Join the conversation on the talk page to discuss your reflections on the contest (even if you didn't participate!) and help us make it better.
If you have any questions, please leave a message on the contest talk page or ask one of the coordinators: Ixtal (talk · contribs), sawyer777 (talk · contribs), or TechnoSquirrel69 (talk · contribs). Apologies for the POV tag I added to the Thulasendrapuram article. I was doing my regular random article checks, and my initial thoughts after a quick skim read were "this is an article about an Indian village, so why is there a disproportionate amount dedicated to Kamala Harris?" My natural reaction to seeing content with political ties is to analyse it from a politics perspective, which is why I originally added the NPOV tag. After seeing your revert and giving the article another read, I realised the tag wasn't actually necessary.
It simply seemed biased to me by merit of politics, but being the hometown of a presidential candidate is as good a reason as any to be considered notable/significant, and you did a good job of keeping actual politics out of the article itself. Sirocco745 (talk) 03:11, 31 October 2024 (UTC)

Replaceable non-free use File:Out of the Blue SLC.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Out of the Blue SLC.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 15:07, 25 November 2024 (UTC)

Ray cat depiction
Your artistic render of a Ray cat is inspiring and intriguing. At first I thought the cat might be an extraterrestrial depicted on the surface of Mars. Given the proposed application of Ray Cats, it might more likely be meant to depict the Nevada desert. Interestingly, both "Aliens" and "Nuclear Radiation" are associated with the Nevada desert region, making either interpretation equally valid. (The source image listed for the background is actually a "Desert near Riyadh", Saudi Arabia.)
User:Tamzin noted at Talk:Ray_cat#Glowing_green? that the study proposing "Ray cats" does not specify an appearance & also is not specifically about modifying the appearance of cats. However, I think that your depiction is good to show what "Ray cats" look like in the imagination of those who hear about them (as a cultural phenomenon), and also might inspire further study into the development of useful bioengineered companion animals. Can you comment on your inspirations & thoughts in creating the piece? — Hubcapp (talk) 17:55, 15 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Hubcapp:, thanks! I'm really glad you like the image. I believe that my inspiration for the green glow was probably subconsciously influenced by the trope of green glowing materials representing radioactivity in fiction (for example, the intro to The Simpsons features Homer mishandling a glowing green bar of radioactive material). According to this article, this is probably influenced by the fact that radium can glow in the dark and was used in self-luminous paint in the 1900s. As far as the desert scenery, I chose that because in my mind, ray cats would be found around nuclear waste dump sites like the Yucca Mountain nuclear waste repository in Nevada. Additionally, the way that the Ray Cat was proposed to be used to inform people far in the future made me think of it existing in a post-apocalyptic setting, so I may have been subconsciously influenced by the desert wastelands in the Mad Max franchise. Cleavage Page Edits
Hi Di
I noticed that you were not happy with my 'weird headings' and so reverted an article back to a version that contained harmful rape myths, and overtly sexualised language e.g. "women should wet their breasts" to improve their cleavage etc. The previous page contained subjective opinions, which provided harmful sexist stereotyping and language which was not inclusive either to cis or trans women, and propagated harmful views which could be damaging, especially if read by a child.
If you're not happy with my version, please do alter the format to make it more suitable, however please do not revert back to add in a version with rape myths, victim blaming, and sexist stereotyping. We need to protect marginalised groups from harm and do our best to prevent the spread of misinformation.
All of the information was sourced correctly where relevant, and I have ensured to add statements that people need to consider opinions as subjective and highlight that a lot of the "sources" previously included were a matter of opinion, the studies were not peer-reviewed or backed up by actual evidence.
I am sure you will agree that we must do better, and protect marginalised groups. Thank you. Trj56msn (talk) 09:43, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Trj56msn:, on Wikipedia every single claim must have a corresponding inline citation. The large amount of text you added did not contain any inline citations. While I obviously agree that we need to be careful to protect marginalized groups in our coverage of certain topics, we cannot just put information without having it backed up by sources. Whether or not your edit was justified or correct is irrelevant; without having proper sourcing, it cannot be in the article. Using artificial intelligence to write on Wikipedia is also not acceptable. Di (they-them) (talk) 13:28, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- There were plenty of "sources" given by others that were not proper sources i.e. not peer reviewed, not scientific, and no context provided. There were also plenty of opinions given i.e. men are attracted to women with large breasts, which was without citation (and a citation would not be needed anyway as this statement is largely inappropriate and need not be in this article) and is also reductionist to men. If you agreed with me, then you would be open to having discussion as opposed to reporting me for violation, but yet you/the other user have not reported the previous writers who wrote rape myths and sexist rhetoric for any violation, or for using inappropriate language and invalid source material?
- Well noted. Trj56msn (talk) 14:22, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Trj56msn: I have never read or seen that article before you added large amounts of unsourced AI-generated content. That is why I have never talked about any other content on that page. You can't just point to other issues and say "what about that" to justify poor editing. Additionally, trying to intimidate users by threatening to report them to a governmental organization is absolutely unacceptable and incompatible with Wikipedia. - I have not threatened anyone. I am entitled to report violence against women to organisations that protect women. You are appearing very threatening by taking away my right to report. You also appear rather threatening by advocating for the use of false information, rape myths, and sexist stereotyping in the page - because quite frankly, I do not see you removing those, or challenging them. - What I wrote was not unsourced, it was a rephrasing (for inclusivity and political correctness) of comments somebody else had already written, and I then included the source material that they had already done. For some parts I included information that is well documented and no source is required. At least I can say that I did my best to stop misinformation and help protect a marginalised group today.
