Personal Life

Judge Duble is the first openly gay justice of the peace in Harris County.[1]

Early Work

After 30 years in the field of law, Judge Duble became interested in running for office after witnessing poor treatment of people facing eviction.[2]

Campaigns

In May 2024, Judge Duble won his runoff election against opponent Sonia Lopez with 53% of the vote.[3]

Court Policies/Procedures

In early 2024, Judge Duble and Judge Dolores Lozano open a resource center for tenants representing themselves against eviction.
