I don't understand --- why was the redirect information destroying? Compare this article to Pattern recognition: this article is a strict subset of that one. I folded information from here into there, left Statistical classification as a stubby interstitial article.

We could redirect directly to Pattern recognition, but I thought people would get confused warping directly from classifier (mathematics) to pattern recognition.

As it stands now, we have two very redundant articles, which seems like poor organization.

OK, how about a compromise? Just like having a stubby statistical classification, with the main information being at Pattern recognition, how about the same thing here? Made the edit. -- hike395 15:15, 14 Mar 2005 (UTC)
