This page should not be deleted - it is about a very important area of a leading University. The Humanities Division covers one quarter of the University and contains many famous and notable characters. At present Oxford is rather misrepresented on wikipedia because most of the content is given over to colleges, not to departments. Expansion of this article will show why it is so important.

It is also an important page to group together a number of other articles, about each of the individual faculties in the division, which all have considerable and important histories.
