The Bangladesh Premier League 2025, also known as Dutch-Bangla Bank BPL T20 2025 for sponsorship reasons,[1] will be the eleventh season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), a top-level professional Twenty20 cricket league in Bangladesh which is organized by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).[2] The tournament is scheduled to begin on 30 December 2024 and will end on 7 February 2025.

Background

The 2025 season will clash with the Big Bash League, SA20, Super Smash and International League T20.[3] There were uncertainties in this season after a change of government in Bangladesh, since a few of the franchises may not be available in this season due to the aftermath of that incident.[4]

In September 2024, the ownership rights of the Dhaka franchise were acquired by Shakib Khan's Remark-Herlan Group.[5] Later on, its name was changed into Dhaka Capitals.[6][7] Comilla Victorians is replaced by Durbar Rajshahi.[8] Chattogram Challengers is renamed as Chittagong Kings.

The players' draft was held on 14 October 2024.[9][10][11][12][13]
