This is a list of notable people with exceptional mental calculating abilities, usually known as "mental calculators" or "calculating prodigies". Some mental calculators are able to calculate square roots, logarithms, sines, and calendrical dates, determine whether a number is prime or not, or factorize numbers; others' calculation skills are limited to only the basic operations of arithmetic. For some, the use of their calculation skills served them in their professional life, including engineers, mathematicians, and physicists; others have mostly used their for performing feats, and still others had little practical use of their skill.
