Iljaz Prokshi (born in November 15 1949 in the village of Vërbovc, Kosovo, died April 28 2007) is an ethnic Albanian writer and poet of many books from Kosovo. He studied Albanian language and literature in the University of Priština. Prokshi is mainly known for his masterpiece, the novel Fundi I Zemerimit (The End of Disgruntlement), the bestseller and winner of The Book of the Year prize. In the last years of his life Prokshi lived and worked in Priština.
