Strange series of articles satirising the Beatles. There are several fair use violations (pictures of Beatles members appear in several articles), it is unrelated to Wikipedia, and it violates the user page policy. Main contributor has made few contributions to Wikipedia other than this series of articles. All subpages should be deleted in my view. CloudNine 19:02, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Here is my view: these pages are not satirising the Beatles, but they are our models, because me and PF-K are in a band, and these pages show us a preview of our work and we are writing our ideas here. Maybe I use Wikipedia bad (do I ?) but it is a goldy chance for us and it doesn't really disturb Wikipedia, because it is just a thing for us. For the Beatles' pictures, they will disappear if you want, but I keep wanting to save these pages, we need them. Anyway, I didn't only want to do this, and I want to involve myself in the English Wikipedia. I hope you've understand. Genesis | Please sell England by the pound*** | on 19:55, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Genes6, please note that while established and/or active editors are given some leeway in their userpage, wikipedia policy says that "we are not a webhost." for material not related to or for the purpose of contribution. Though I'd be willing to vote 'keep' contingent on the removal of any possible fair use violations and as an active user's userpage. Wintermut3 05:22, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete. WP:USER states that, while user subpages may be used to draft articles or as a personal sandbox, they shouldn't be used as web hosting. The extent of these pages is well beyond anything that could possible be necessary for testing, and these articles have no future as encyclopedic content (they describe events 20 years in the future). Even if the author is active on Wikipedia, this doesn't excuse him to use his userspace to host pages which aren't relevant to the Wikipedia project. Zetawoof(ζ) 06:37, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Delete "and these pages show us a preview of our work and we are writing our ideas here. Maybe I use Wikipedia bad (do I ?) but it is a goldy chance for us and it doesn't really disturb Wikipedia, because it is just a thing for us." is just a complex way of saying it's self-promotion which Wikipedia is not supposed to be used for. - Mgm|(talk) 11:00, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. I understood from Genesis' message that the pictures fair use violation will be solved and I don't see any other serious reason for deletion. Writing in your own userpage some things about yourself is not self-promotion. We should be more tolerant with userpages.--MariusM 17:20, 4 May 2007 (UTC)
- OK. Just tell me what to do to keep these pages, and I will make it. For the self-promotion, these pages are not made for this. They just serve us to write our ideas and all the band members could see it. There is no self-promotion in that (as I see it).
