Manuel Uribe (born June 11, 1965), is a 41 year old man from Monterrey, Mexico, holds the distinction of being one of the largest people in medical history.[1] After reaching a peak weight of around 544 kg (1200 lbs), Uribe has managed to lose a considerable amount of weight with the help of doctors and nutritionists by following the Zone diet. At 362 kg (800 lbs), he is still morbidly obese.[2]

As of March 2007, according to reports, Uribe has set a goal of getting his weight down to 120 kg (265 lbs). Manuel has also been featured on "World's Heaviest Man" a T.V documentary about his bedridden life and of his attempts to lose weight.
