Urban Sports
Neg's Burger Bowl off: Neg brought several items from fast food restaurants and threw them at unsuspecting people from the roof of the car he was driving round in. The more the food cost, the more points obtained for a hit. This was the one Urban Sport where Neg took the Balls of Steel trophy. There was controversey as to whether his actions could be considered as criminal assault. His famous quotes included "large bucket of chicken, some fries and some fuckin' diddy donuts! woop woop woop!" "don't fuck with the colonel woop woop woop!"
Neg's Urban Sprinting: Neg triggered off alarms in shops and provoked the security guards to chase him, the idea was to get from the shop to the nearest burger bar as quickly as possible
Neg's Urban Skittles: Neg walked into a local building and screamed at everyone to hit the floor whilst mimicing a gun/any other weapon under his shirt. For every person that hit the floor, a point was obtained.
Neg's Stranger Rodeo: Neg jumps on a stranger's back and rides them like a rodeo, The object was to stay off the ground for as long as possible.
Neg's Make 'Em move: Neg stood/sat near locals and acted extreamly strangely and madly, the quicker the time took to make the people move, the better the score.
Neg's Keep 'Em Out: Similar to Make 'Em Move, but the object was to deny someone access to an area by acting mental. The quicker, the better.
Knock and Don't Run: Neg knocks on a stranger's door and tries to keep them standing there for as long as possible.
Trivia
- Neg's Urban Sports is the most controversial act of them all in Balls of Steel, mainly due to concerns that segments such as Big Stranger Rodeo promoted happy slapping. However in the second series this is less controversial, because the people in his sketches are now being set up by their friends.
- Traditionally, the final attempt would always be his personal best and it was possible to fail if Neg could not complete his task.
- Channel 4 internal regulators informed the show that certain public targets must be subject to pre-checks just prior to Neg's unusual and expletive-ridden 'raids', in order to avoid shocking the elderly, pregnant women and children.
