The Santa Anita Handicap is held annually in the month of March at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. It is a grade one race for horses four years old and up and is considered the most important race for older horses in North America during the winter racing season.

The winner of the 2005 Santa Anita Handicap was "Rock Hard Ten," ridden by Gary Stevens and trained by Richard Mandella.
