St. Brendan High School is a co-educational private Roman Catholic high school in Westchester, Florida, a southwestern suburb of Miami.

History

St. Brendan High School was first called St. John Vianney Minor Seminary High School, originally opened to accept students who were interested in studying for the priesthood. When enrollment declined, the Archdiocese of Miami, under the leadership of Archbishop Coleman F. Carroll, decided to convert the school into a co-educational high school. It opened at the start of the 1975 school year under the new name of St. Brendan High School, enrolling 346 students in the ninth and tenth grades. The school currently has almost 1300 students enrolled in the ninth through twelfth grades.[1]
