This article is about the upcoming fourth season of the American dramedy television series Desperate Housewives. In the United States, season four will first air September 23, 2007[citation needed] and will conclude May 18, 2008[citation needed].
Cast
Marc Cherry has made agreements with all the main cast members until May, 2011 - given that the show keeps getting renewed - so most of the main cast will be around for season 4.[1] However, Nicolette Sheridan will not return as Edie, since Edie committed suicide in the season three finale.
Eva Longoria has revealed that season four will have Gabrielle and Carlos getting back together, meaning that neither Longoria, nor Ricardo Antonio Chavira, will be leaving the show at the end of season three, as earlier rumoured.[2]
Many of the third season's guest stars are most likely to continue to appear. Roseanne Barr will play a new resident of Wisteria Lane and will be brought under the tagline "America's Original Housewife"[citation needed], and Claire King will appear as Edie's sister Helen.[3] Also Mike's younger brother, Terry, will move to Wisteria Lane with his wife. Terry will be a recurring character in the first 10 of 12 episode of Season 4, and one of the season's mysteries will revolve around the new couple. [citation needed] Polly Bergen will play Lynette Scavo's mother in a recurring role as Stella Wingfield.[4]
Crew
Joe Keenan, writer of the critically aclaimed season three episode Bang, will not be writing for the fourth season.[5]. Template:Spoiler-end
