#1 Suspect is the debut album by Memphis gangsta rapper, Gangsta Pat, released on Atlantic records during the early months of 91'. Though, with a promising start, #1 Suspect was viewed as being another cliché of the rising trend of the Southern California based style. Along with the singles, Gangster's Need Love 2 & I'm tha Gangsta, the album had very little impact & Atlantic soon ended its relationship with Gangsta Pat, forcing him to return to his roots in the Memphis underground rap within only a year.
