  • A.C. Milan win ... ? A.C. Milan wins ... ?

Perhaps we should use gerunds or passive voice to avoid this singular vs plural problem that we keep getting with sports news on ITN. --199.71.174.100 22:28, 23 May 2007 (UTC) A.C. Milan won would work as well Spartyboy40 21:44, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It should be always in present tense so your gerund suggestion might do the trick. --Howard the Duck 12:53, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Er, I've noticed that there's a bit about the "colonial era". Considering, as mystery contributor above seems to, that such a term is VERY vague, can we be more specific? Like, "somethingth century"? Sorry, just asking. Dread Pirate Felix 23:32, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Errors in Selected anniversaries/On this day

The objective of linking to an article on the front page is not to hope that it will be improved, but to feature good materials in Wikipedia. If you want an article improved, you put the link on Opentask. Furthermore, Towel Day is too trivial and not mainstream enough, anyway. --74.13.131.228 13:49, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • This might be quite minor, but technially President Kennedy in his Special Joint Session announced the goal "before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the Earth." [[1]] So, we use quotations about the goal, I suppose we might need to put "before this decade is out" at the beginning, not the end, of the statement. Or maybe you can just put it down to paraphrasing and not bother.Thud495 14:59, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
