Maryland State Highway 18 or Route 18 runs for 20 miles through Queen Anne's County, and for the majority of its length it is known as Main Street.

Maryland 18 used to be one of the main east-west roads in Queen Anne's County, prior to the construction of US 50 on the Eastern Shore. Route 18 now serves mainly local traffic, however due to increasing backups on US 50, it has attracted motorists as an alternate route to reach the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Facts

It is commonly believed that MD 18 ends at its intersection with Maryland State Highway 8, however it actually turns north onto what is believed to be MD 8 and continues to Love Point.
