Cathal Muckian, a native of Dundalk, County Louth; enjoyed a stellar career in League of Ireland football during the 1970s and early 80s. Played with many of Ireland's top clubs, notably Dundalk FC and Drogheda United, and won an international cap for the Republic of Ireland in 1978 against Argentina.
