West Town Mall
West Town Mall is a shopping mall located in Knoxville, Tennessee, United States. It is the premiere shopping mall serving the Knoxville Metropolitan Area, including students attending University of Tennessee. Built in the early 1970's, this one level mall is located in the western part of Knoxville. Built right along Interstates 40/75 and Kingston Pike, this was a major catalyst for the rapid growth on this side of Knoxville.

Stores
West Town Mall is a higher end mall than its sister on the East Side of town. The mall targets all ages and demographics, with something for every one. Being a college town, you will generally find all of your college apparel stores
There is a Food Court in the center of the mall in a long forgotten clothing store space. Here was the first mall location for Petro's which were so prominent at The 1982 World's Fair.
Movie Theaters
West Town Mall has had two different theaters in its life. The first was an out parcel on the corner of Morrell Rd and Kingston Pike. It was a round theater. This was demolished in the late 1980's early 1990's.
In the mid 1990's, Knoxville based Regal Cinemas decided to open an entertainment complex in the mall. The location was the former upper level of JC Penney that had been stripped of its walls and roof in the early 90's addition. The lower level space was retail space and the uppper level became the theater complex and entertainment area. The theater is still there, but the entertainment area was closed up by Regal.
Belk/Parisian Consolidation
Feb 2, 2007, Belk announced it will be combining the two locations at West Town Mall under the name Belk. It will keep both stores open. The main level of the current Belk store will continue to house women’s apparel, shoes, accessories, cosmetics, and intimate apparel. The lower level of the store will be vacated and turned over to mall management. This will make it interesting, since this is an underground level with no access to the rest of the mall.
The Parisian store will become a men’s, children’s and home store, with men’s and children’s departments and an additional cosmetics department located on the lower level and a large home department located on the upper level.
This will follow a similar Belk format at other malls in Tennessee.
