Christopher Atkins (born February 21, 1961) is an American actor and former teen idol. He was born in Rye, New York. He is best known for his role as Richard Lestrange in the 1980 blockbuster The Blue Lagoon, his film debut. Atkins and his wife Lynne Barron have two children, a son named Grant and a daughter named Brittney Bomann, she had acted in three films. He owns his outdoor sports company and has patented his own fishing lure. He attended Denison University.
