The Hooded Pitta, Pitta sordida, is a sparrow-sized passerine bird. It is common in eastern and southeastern Asia and the Malay Archipelago. In captivity, hooded pittas mix well with other species. In London Zoo they are kept in large glass-walled tanks with white eyes and montserrat orioles while at Jersey they are in a large walk-through exhibit with birds such as palawan peacock pheasants and white-rumped shamas
