David Constantine

David Constantine (born 1944) is a contemporary British poet and translator.

Constantine is a Fellow of Queen's College, Oxford University and co-editor of the literary journal Modern Poetry in Translation. Along with the Irish poet Bernard O'Donoghue, Constantine is Commissioning Editor of the Oxford Poets imprint of Carcanet Press. At present, Constantine is preparing a translation of Goethe's Faust for Penguin Classics.
