Ian Maurice Gold (born August 23, 1978 in Belleville, Michigan) is a graduate of the University of Michigan an American Football linebacker who currently plays for the Denver Broncos of NFL.

High school years

While attending Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan, Gold starred in football, basketball, and track & field.

Professional career

Ian Gold is a linebacker that is part of the Denver Broncos linebacker core which includes D.J. Williams and Al Wilson. They have been dubbed as one of the quickest units in the NFL. After playing for the Broncos in 2004, Gold left to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After that season, he went back to join the Broncos which went to the AFC Championship that same year.

Gold has been seen in the 2006 season wearing no athletic gloves on gameday, which is a rarity among NFL defensive players.
