Story
There is a game on TV. The most popular one. In this game, every day men or women, volunteers, are being hunt down to death by professional killers. If they survive they get an enormous prize of money. But no one has managed to survive so far.
Our hero, a family man, needs the money, so he takes part in the game. He proves out to be very good, but things are not what they seem...
Misc
The film is a very good thriller, although it was not a big production. There are no splatter scenes or any excess in violence. The thrilling aspect is in the story, which is unpredictable, and in the hero's fight for survival.
The director, in the background, also tries to show what he thinks is the role of television, and this kind of games in particular, over the control of the population. He also comments on the structure of the society, and the reality that the people of the lower levels have to face.
The movie can be considered as prophetic of the Big Brother and Survivor type of game shows.
