Fordham Road
Fordham Road is a major street in The Bronx borough of New York City. It runs east-west from the Harlem River to Bronx Park. At its western extreme, it goes through the University Heights neighborhood. It begins at its eastern point as a continuation of Pelham Parkway and at its western point, continues over the University Heights Bridge into Manhattan, where it runs as West 207th Street. It is a two-way, four-lane road.
Fordham Road is divided into east and west by Jerome Avenue, with address numbers for both the East Fordham Road and West Fordham Road increasing away from Jerome Avenue.
Shopping
The area of Fordham Road between Grand Concourse and Webster Avenue is a major shopping corridor. In between these stores are many shops. And unlike the many other shops of the city, these are more inexpensive. Many new stores and things are still being built there. Especially after the 2006 fire of the footlockerstore. The stores in da area can help anybody just shop for hours. Many can find even food shops, Female store and male stores, also children shops. The area also includes many Beauty supplies.

Transportation
Beyond Webster Avenue and directly across from Fordham University, at Fordham Plaza, is a major hub for buses and a stop on the Metro-North Railroad's Harlem and New Haven lines. The Hudson Line also stops at the University Heights station.
