Belle Air is a low-cost airline based in Tirana, Albania, operating international flights to several cities in Italy, as well as Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is privately owned and its main base is Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza[1].
History
The airline was established in May 2005 and started operations in 2006. Belle Air announced plans in April 2006 to start direct flights between Albania and the USA in 2007. Just 8 months after starting operations, on November 17 2006, Belle Air announced that it had sold its 100,000th ticket. The airline has grown at a tremendous rate, especially when considering its performance and route network compared to that of Albania's national airline, Albanian Airlines which has been in business for over 10 years.
