Exile on Mainstream is the fourth album by matchbox twenty and is expected to be a greatest hits album containing eleven previous hits and up to six previously unreleased tracks produced by Steve Lillywhite. According to Billboard.com, the album is due out October 2, 2007. In the same article, Rob Thomas stated that Paul Doucette, originally the bands drummer, would be playing rhythm guitar due to Adam Gaynor's leaving.[1]
