Biased article

This article seriously violates all WP policies on living people, many libelous statements about a living person from no reputable WP:RS sources have been added, I will start removing non reputable surces one by one if no serious effort is made to edit it by current editors.RaveenS

Once I heard about the Solhiem allegations, I just knew someone was going to put up the Daily New or Asiantribune garbage on here. I second RaveenS take on this. This page has descended into a platform to throw mud at Solhiem by disaffected Sri Lankan government supporters. Elalan 18:03, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Editors should read WP:BLP RaveenS
The fact that Karuna's allegations are prominent enough to make Solheim deny it[1], justifies the inclusion. Also with regard to WP:RS, it is important to note that this was a interview given by karuna to the daily news paper, which was copied and featured verbatim on asian tribune. Hence it is a reliable source, besides other sources are used.
Conversly eelamist sites which feature verbatim copies of daily newspapers can be used as sources, as we have very few online newspapers and if the copy is verbatim then the fact wether it is featured on a eelamist site or a so called nationalistic site should not make it fail a WP:RS. Anyway the issue of asiantribune as not been a WP:RS, is your own view and not a consensus of a majority.Kerr avon 11:36, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Clean Up and Expansion

This article is in dire need of a clean up and expansion, I began with the total re-wording off the "Controversy" section, however, without objection in the next 24 - 48 hours, I will delete the section in its entirety due to lack of compliance with WP:RS.

The Biography needs to be expanded, and Erik Solheim's efforts as a peace maker need to be expanded, as with the rewording of the somewhat convoluted middle section of the article.

In my personal opinion, this article is very much inadequate for a character of such integrity enqinuity and tact in resolving a long-running ethnic conflict, along with being a prominent member of the Norweigan government.

I doubt there are few established editors who will oppose my edits in coming hours/days, I will also request the assistance of members of Project Norway and request a ban from un-established editors and I.Ps from editing the article as it is a biography of a living person to protect the page from vandalism that has afflicted it recently. --Sharz 14:25, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Norwegian's Against Terrorism

hehe, that's gotta be the invention of a creative mind. I doubt such an organisation even exists, and all references to that name on google is to asian news sources, and one link to bbc, citing an asian news source. Jerazol 00:49, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm in total agreement with you there. --Sharz 01:12, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replacement of Sources

I have added more from the official Norweigan sources rather than the more sensationalist sources in use. I think that the source Tamilnet, Asiantribune and Sibernews should all be replaced with sources more reliable, such as the BBC, CNN and press releases. --Sharz 01:36, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
