My name is Matthew Edwards. I was born on May 5,1991 in London England. I have been a member of Wikipedia for about a year and started editing properly in summer 2006 (before I just made minor edits) although most of what I do would still be considered minor.

About me in general

I am 15 and live in south London. I have just finished attending secondary school and my GCSE exams and I am waiting for my results. I have currently got no idea what job I want to do when I leave school although one of my hopes is to go to Japan sometime in the next few years. I have usually use the username Urrgh5591 on other sites. This strange username comes from a nickname I was given a couple years ago by my friends and my birth date.

So what do I do in my free time? I have several pastimes most of them pretty unusual when compared to what most of the people my age around me do. Some of these things include:

Anime and Manga: I have been into these for a couple of years now since around late 2005. I've since been obsessed and become more and more of an otaku as times gone on. I spend a lot of my free time catching up on anime episodes and watching new series. I don't really have a specific taste when it comes to anime. I'll watch pretty much anything judging its not too explicit. Although I usually seam to end up watching/reading Action, Sci Fi or Romance (both normal and Yuri).

Video Games: A much longer obsession than my Anime fandom I’ve been playing video games for at least 6 - 7 years. I'm not really a big Xbox or PC game fan preferring Playstation and Nintendo games. I also import Visual Novels from Japan although only when I actually have money which is rarely as I’m not 16 yet and cannot get a job easily.

Warhammer 40K: Something I ventured into last year and mainly last summer, I am a fairly new Space Marines player. I am still fairly new and thusly do not contribute anything to warhammer related pages on Wikipedia.

Music: Like most people I also listen to specific types of music. In my case mainly Rock, Heavy Metal and Jrock along with some Electronic music. Although unlike most people music is not the most important thing around me and I do not claim to be a massive fan of any particular band/artist preferring to take a more general approach.

There are other things I do to pass time although these are the main points. Other hobbies include writing Fanfiction, Making AMVs, Blogging and watching TV. To put it basically I'm not very social and do not really try to form strong bonds with other people.

Unfortunately school takes up my time so I may be a little delayed in responding. But only contact me by email if you really need to for some reason.

What I have done on Wikipedia

Nothing that notable, I used to edit Battle Royale related articles a lot and I created a couple of them myself such as Yonemi Kamon. I used to have another account Daxorn, under which I created quite a few Battle Royale articles. I never use the Daxorn account anymore though, and never will. The reason I switched accounts was that at first I could not regester an account under this name for some reason, but when I tried again later it worked, so I moved to this one. I just make small edits on pages and I wish to know more. For quite a while I belived I knew a fair bit but just looking over some other users work I can see I have a lot to learn.

Things about me and Wikipedia

My stress level!

As I said, I am fairly new here. I'm not a total n00b to this but i'm not exactly a seasoned editor either. Here I just want to put a few things straight.

1: This is more just a general thing about my edits to pages. As you will see from my userboxes I am dyslexic, while I will never use this as an excuse to make poor quality edits, It obviously does mean that from time to time I might make a inferior edit, for this I apologise in advance.

2: I will never edit a page which is about a sensitive subject E.G: 9/11.

3: I think that when it comes to new users, they should always be welcomed and made to feel comfortable on Wikipedia, the whole point is that people make contributions on things they know a bit about, unless somebody is a vandal they should be welcomed.

4: I think that some more experienced editors should be tolerant with new users, there is nothing more off putting to a new user than making an edit which they think is good, just to have it deleted and a message on their talk page telling them to stop making pointless edits. While I understand useless edits should not be ignored, more experienced users should explain the reasons for the revert thoroughly and educate the newer users as to how to make better edits.

5: Finally I think that if somebody has a contribution to make or a question to ask, just go a head and submit it, the worse that can happen is it will get re worded or worse case deleted, and if you don't understand why then ask, its the only way anybody can learn and improve.

Userboxes

As you can see I have quite a few of them on my page. While they all do represent the truth about me don't take them all to seriously. While most of them fairly accurately describe me and my opinions not all of them put it in the way I would put it. For example the "this user cannot stand Hip Hop music" userbox, while I think Hip Hop is over commercialised and all about either Drugs, Sex or Violence I would not say I can't stand it. More that I think its boring. Please bare that in mind and don't jump to conclusions when you look at them.
