Mordechai Levy is a U.S.-based political activist and founder of the militant Jewish Defense Organization.

Founder of the Jewish Defense Organization
Among other things, he is known for founding the militant Jewish Defense Organization (as a breakaway faction of the already considerably radical Jewish Defense League), described by David Tell of the Weekly Standard as being "located at the farthest, shadowy margins of American public life."[1]
Independent investigations
Levy has also made a name for himself through investigative work on such figures as American neo-Nazi Harold Covington and of Steven Hatfill, the one-time person of interest in the as-of-yet unsolved 2001 anthrax attacks; on the ultra orthodox, anti-Zionist Rabbi Moshe Aryeh Friedman,[2]; and on the reputed Pakistani terror cult Jamaat ul-Fuqra and other interesting individuals and organizations. Mainstream media (MSM) organizations have often made use of Levy's research leads, without acknowledging him as a source, for understandable reasons.
Allegations of libel and harassment
Levy is also known for his he running legal battles with independent licensed investigator and noted electronic privacy researcher (and former JDO member) Steven Rombom, for which Rombom would ultimately sue Levy and the JDO for in 1997 alleging defamation, false light invasion of privacy, and incitement to violence.[3], for his incessant attacks against ADL founder Abraham Foxman and others.
Legal Issues
Levy was charged with four counts of attempted murder and other charges after he opened fire on Irv Rubin. Rubin was attempting to serve a subpeona on Levy. Levy was aquitted of all charges except one count of reckless endangerment, for which he was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment.[1]link title
Camp Jabotinsky
Levy has also organized a paramilitary training camp located in Upstate New York, dedicated Revisionist Zionist leader Ze'ev Jabotinsky, and called simply Camp Jabotinsky, where young Jews learn gun training, security and how to protect Jews from attack.
Writing Style
Levy is known for a writing style which could best be described as direct and confrontational. Judging by his website,[4] he also seems to nurture a special fondness for CAPITAL LETTERS as an expressive medium.[original research?]
