Bakari Sagna (born February 14 1983 Sens, Bourgogne) is a French football right-sided defender who has been playing for AJ Auxerre in the top division of French soccer since the 2004-5 season. Sagna has played for the French under-21 team during the 2006 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. He has been linked with English giant Arsenal and with Newcastle United, though it appears likely that he will join the Gunners as Auxerre club president Gerard Bourgoin was quoted saying "He wants to wear the Arsenal shirt".

He received his first call-up for the senior France National Team on May 24, 2007 for the Euro 2008 Qualifiers against Ukraine and Georgia.
