The Žeimena River is a river in Eastern Lithuania, Aukštaitija. It is a right tributary of Neris River. Žeimena begins in Labanoras Forest and flows from Žeimenys lake. Žeimena flows to the south passing Kaltanėnai town, Švenčionėliai city, Pabradė city, various forests and swamps. It joins with Neris by the border of Švenčionys and Vilnius districts. Te main tributaries of Žeimena are Lakaja, Saria, Mera, Kiauna, Luknelė and Jusinė.

Žeimena is one of the cleanest Lithuanian rivers. Also, it is the one of the main places of salmon's spawing. The lenght of Žeimena is object of disscusions because it begins in a big lakeland of Aukštaitija National Park, so it is difficult to say which lake is source of Žeimena. Traditionally, the source of Žeimena is Žeimenys lake.
