- Mount Carmel College, Charters Towers - was founded in 1902 and was owned and operated by the Christian Brothers, until 1997. In 1998, the Brothers relinquished control of the school to the Diocese, but the Congregation retains ownership of the site and continues to provide some Brothers to the staff. Mt. Carmel is the site for Columba Catholic College Senior Campus [94], comprising years 9, 10, 11, and 12. The boarding facility caters for boys only from Primary to Year 12.
