The Pony Club Association of New South Wales (PCANSW) operates as a state-level branch of Pony Club Australia. Encompassing Zones 1 to 28, the PCANSW is the largest of all the state branches. The Zones are spread round in a random order. In each Zone there are as many as 20 different Pony Clubs, some larger than others.

Example: Zone 16

Zone 16 comprises the pony clubs in the ACT and surrounding areas. There are 14 Pony Clubs in Zone 16. Here they are:

-Belconnen Pony Club. -Bungedore Pony Club. -Burra Pony Club. -Canberra Lakes Pony Club - www.clpc.com.au. -Canberra Riding Club. -Geary's Gap Pony Club. -Hall Pony Club. -Kambah Pony Club. -Michaelago Pony Club. -Murrumbateman Pony Club. -Queanbeyan Pony Club. -Sutton Pony Club. -Wamboin Pony Club. -Yass Pony Club.

Each of these Clubs has its own meeting place, uniform (compulsory at Pony Club shows), shows, rally/training days, sponsors, and committees.

Meeting places

There are no two Pony Clubs on the same grounds. Quite a few Pony Clubs such as Bungedore and Yass use their local showgrounds. Other Pony Clubs, such as Canberra Lakes, use special horse grounds like Equestrian Park in Canberra's suburb of Yarralumla.

Uniforms

Each club has its own individual uniform. So does each zone. Zone 16's colours are red and white. If you are representing your zone in state competitions you have to wear that zone's colours. One of the most important things about Club uniforms, however, is that they should be clean and smart, so as "not to bring shame to your club". If you do the latter you may get a warning. Extremely bad behaviour will get you 'expelled' from your Pony Club. Some examples of uniform colours:

Geary's Gap Pony Club: Dark green and black. Kambah Pony Club: Black, white, and mustard yellow. Michaelago Pony Club: Light blue, black, and red. Wamboin Pony Club: Dark blue and white.

Pony Club Shows

Every year each Pony Club will have a randomly timed gymkana. Some Pony Club even decide to have a Showjumping day, a One Day Event, or a Games day, among many other things.
