The reason Darnand was taken back to France and executed by the French rather than being tried at Nuremberg is obvious: he was French and commited his crimes on French soil. An article on the nature and extent of other all-French postwar trials and executions would be interesting if someone knows enough to write it, which I don't.05:56, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
