Nathalie Hambro

Designer and trend setter Nathalie Hambro was born and raised in Paris where she studied at the Faculty of Law and read Art History at l’ Ecole du Louvre, and then moved to London in 1971 to marry banker and artist Anthony Hambro. Besides her work as an interior designer, she wrote several cookery books, the first one Particular Delights (1980) won the prestigious Glenfiddich Award. All the while she was a contributing editor to British Vogue and Elle Decoration, and worked regularly with the Sunday Times Magazine.

In 1995, Nathalie designed and launched her metal Lunchbox. The Lunchbox becomes a cult products that featured, over 18 months, every morning on Channel 4's Big Breakfast, and sold all over the world. In 1999 she launches a collection of handcrafted - like couture - limited edition handbags. These are housed in the V & A Museum permanent collections, as well as at the Museum at F.I.T, New York. That same year Nathalie Hambro exhibited at Contemporary Decorative Arts, a selling exhibition at Sotheby’s London, (the exhibition re-occurred over 5 years). Each year Hambro brought her different creative agenda fashion and jewellery pieces.

From 1994 to 1997, in parallel with her other professional commitments, Nathalie Hambro worked as a Creative Director for special events, at the Royal Academy of Arts and the British Museum. In 1997, Nathalie signed an exclusive contract with Paris couture House of Balmain, designing handbags and jewellery. Besides London cult shop The Cross, her handbags, and other products, were sold at prime outlets in Japan and America, including cult store Takashimaya in New York. Nathalie also designs handbag collections for Saks Fifth Avenue.

Nathalie Hambro wrote and published “The Art of the Handbag” (1998) which won the Mac Naughton Platinum Award for design and photography. Later that year Nathalie’s work was widely represented in New York Museum at F.I.T Curator Valerie Steele’s book “Bags, a Lexicon of style", dedicating ten pages to her work. In 1999, Nathalie agrees to a contract with jeweller Hamilton & Inches, (a long established firm which used to be part of the Asprey/Garrard group), to design their first jewellery collection. In May 2002, Nathalie was one of the few jewellery designers commissioned for “Celebration”, an exhibition held at London Goldsmiths Hall, to coincide with the Queen Golden Jubilee.

2004, Nathalie launches her signature collection which included clothes, fashion accessories and fragrances, and opened a showroom/retail space in Mayfair. In May 2005, she launched her new brand: Full of Chic the collection had a funky, tongue in chic approach to accessories and clothes, thus completing her sartorial vision. The V & A Museum acquired some pieces to be housed in their permanent collections, soon after these are displayed in their Fashion Gallery.

July 2005, Nathalie’s launched www.fullofchic.com a website that combines online shopping Nathalie’s Logbook, both expressing her own lifestyle vision. In October 2006, Nathalie launched her new book MY LONDON, about her favourite people and places in the city; the book was followed in November with MY LONDON blog, as well as sites on MySpace and Youtube where she shows her videos about the city.

Lorraine Jordan

Biography

Lorraine Jordan was born in Wales to Irish parents and was based in Scotland for many years before her recent move to London in 2006. She was influenced from a young age by Irish traditional music. Her father in his day was an All-Ireland flute champion and her uncle Frank Jordan a renowned flute player in Co. Roscommon to this day... her grandmother played concertina and her grandfather was a fine singer. The first ballads Lorraine learned were taught to her by her elder sister Philomena, herself is a beautiful singer. This, along with her contemporary influences is reflected in her powerful and melodic songs. They have been covered by many artists including Archie Fisher and John Wright. She has released 3 CDs to much critical acclaim and is considered by many to be among the leading songwriters living in the UK today. She has toured Europe extensively and has a growing audience in the USA and Australia. Her fourth CD is due for release in the summer 2007.

EARLY DAYS

Lorraine Jordan started her singing days in the folk clubs of South Wales. While still at school she joined the band Mooncoin, an Irish/Welsh combination with fiddler Mike Lease (Yr Hwyntws) and piper Theo Schurmanns. On her first musical trip abroad she represented Wales (through the Welsh Tourist Board) in Paris and Lyon as a bouzouki player, accompanying Mike Lease and Welsh singer Heather Jones, This marked the beginning of many musical adventures..... She left Wales for Scotland and joined the Irish/Scots band Malin Head, based in Edinburgh. As well as being the lead vocalist in the band, she also played guitar, bouzouki, bodhran and percussion. The band toured extensively throughout Europe and Scandinavia playing self-penned and traditional tunes as well as a few of Lorraine's original songs. It was in the later stages of her time in the band that she met bouzouki player Niall O'Callanain, and guitarist John Whelan. The two encouraged Lorraine to go over to Ireland and record her debut CD Inspiration in 1991 at Starc Studio, Dublin. Thus, armed with a "Prince's Trust Loan" and some very kind-hearted and extremely talented musicians she embarked upon her solo career as a singer-songwriter. Inspiration was released to much critical acclaim, as was her second CD, Crazy Guessing Games, which came out on the Scottish Label Lochshore. Most recently she produced This Big Feeling on her own label. The CD continues to receive rave reviews.

CD RELEASES

NEW CD RELEASE 2007– A Light Over There (HZ 011), release date July 2007 Lorraine Jordan's music is rightly described as Celtic Soul. In this stunning new album – A Light Over There - Lorraine takes the influences of her Irish roots and love of traditional ballads and combines them with contemporary musical influences to create an intoxicating and thought provoking set of original songs, driven by powerful silk wrapped vocals. Care Face

Care Face is a World of Warcraft guild, featuring the lesser-known, yet widely disliked, Juggalo.

His decision to continue playing is widely accepted as a bad idea.

For more information, the definitions of failure, imbecile, and immature no-name, will generally cover all one needs to know about this character.

Additionally, a hardcore photo of his "care face" taken by his mother is available. If you cannot find it, an image of the VT shooter will do.
