Kris Marshall

Kris Marshall (born April 1973) is an English actor. He was raised in the Cotswolds, Hong Kong and Canada, and educated at Wells Cathedral School and, after failing A levels, Redroofs Theatre School.

Marshall started acting at an early age making an appearance in British TV series The Bill, but it was in 2000 that came his major breakthrough role as Nick Harper in the BBC sitcom My Family. In 2002 this role won him the best newcomer award at the British Comedy Awards.

He went on to have more prominent film roles and play the lead in the television series Murder City and My Life in Film. He also starred in the 2005 BBC comedy series Funland.

In 2006, he appeared onstage in The Hypochondriac and The Revenger's Tragedy.

In 2007, he appeared in television advertisements for British Telecom and in a production of Treats opposite Billie Piper.
