Mac OS X v10.5 "Leopard" is to be the sixth major release of Mac OS X for Apple's Macintosh computers. Announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference on June 6, 2005, it is scheduled for release at the end of 2006 at roughly the same time as Windows Longhorn. It will support both the PowerPC and the Intel x86 platforms, although the x86 support will be limited to machines produced by Apple.
