The Rietveld Schröder House was built in the 1950's (or 1930's?) by Dutch architect Gerrit Rietveld for Mrs. Schröder and her childeren. She commissioned the house to be designed preferably without walls. Rietveld created a very light and open house by using large windows that reached up to the ceiling.

The house is situated in Utrecht in between ordinary terraced houses.
