ECI Telecom Ltd NasdaqECIL, is a telecommunication equipment manufacturer based in Petah Tikva, Israel.

Established in 1961, ECI delivers a broad solution to converged telecom networks: Broadband Multi-service access gateways (MSAG), Service Edge Routers, BRAS, Optical transport, NGN Voice over IP and Core IP/MPLS routers. These converged next generation network solutions are provided to leading carriers and service providers of the world.

In the 90's the company became very successful with a DCME product line which provides real-time compression of phone/voice, by employing various voice compression techniques, including using periods of silence to multiplex voice calls on fewer E1/T1 lines.

The company stumbled during the days of burst of the Tech bubble and the company has since struggled to regain its previous glory. In the UK, the company has appointed London branding agency N1 Creative Ltd to revitalise it's UK position.

Customers ECI’s solutions provide the network foundation for five distinct markets:

- Incumbent and competitive telecom carriers

- Wireless/Cellular service providers

- Multiple Service Operators (MSOs) – or cable operators, who now offer a vast array of communications services

- Utilities/“Carriers of Carriers” – Companies with networks that serve as backbones for other carriers

- Government/Defense – Organizations that need secure communications infrastructures for their large enterprise networks

ECI sells its networking infrastructure equipment to leading service providers around the world, including Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, Telecom Italia, Vodafone, Bezeq, NTL, KPN, Wanadoo, Enertel, TeliaSonera, Svyaz Invest, VimpelCom, MGTS, Ukrtelecom, Kievstar, Tata, Bharti, China Telecom, Hutchison, SK Telecom, KT Corp. (formerly Korea Telecom), Chunghwa Telecom, Globe Telecom, Vtel, Intelsat, Telmex, ICE and many other carriers.
