High School Musical 2 is the soundtrack album to the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie of the same name. It will be released on August 14, 2007 in the USA, and on August 13, 2007 in the UK. Radio Disney premiered the film's first single and opening musical number, What Time Is It?, on June 9, 2007[1]. "Bet On It" premiered on Radio Disney on Friday, June 29, 2007.[2] You Are the Music in Me later premiered in Disney XD on July 7, 2007.

The full soundtrack leaked on August 8, 2007 and will premiere on August 11, 2007 at 7pm ET on Radio Disney. It will be rebroadcast on August 12, 2007 at 1pm ET. The soundtrack received a "B+" grade from Entertainment Weekly.
